Departing from Heredia at 8:00 AM, the journey takes you through the scenic mountains of Vara Blanca, between the Poás and Barva volcanoes. Along the way, enjoy views of La Paz Waterfall, discover locally made crafts, visit a strawberry-growing area and explore Costa Rica's coffee traditions. The adventure continues at Sarapiquí Outdoor Center, where experienced guides lead you on an exciting Class II–III whitewater rafting experience along the Sarapiquí River. After the river adventure, enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch, discover the process of extracting fresh sugarcane juice, explore rainforest trails and look for local wildlife. The return journey travels through the lush landscapes of Braulio Carrillo, completing a day filled with Costa Rican nature, culture and adventure. Departure: Heredia, 8:00 AM. La Paz Waterfall Enjoy a scenic stop to admire and photograph one of Costa Rica's iconic waterfalls. Local Crafts Optional stop to discover traditional Costa Rican crafts and souvenirs. Strawberry Country Visit a local strawberry-growing area, see how strawberries are cultivated and browse local products. Mountain Scenery Continue through beautiful highland landscapes between the Poás and Barva volcanoes. Costa Rican Coffee Experience Discover coffee, with opportunities to explore a local coffee destination, restaurant, and shop. Sarapiquí River Rafting Arrive at Sarapiquí Outdoor Center for a safety briefing and an exciting guided Class II–III rafting adventure. Distance: 12 KM The tour departs at 8:00 a.m. from the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM). Pick-up is available at three designated meeting points: Walmart San José, Walmart Heredia, and Walmart Alajuela. Travelers must arrive at their selected meeting point before the scheduled departure time. If you are staying outside these areas, please contact us in advance to coordinate a convenient meeting point or additional transportation. Any extra transportation costs outside the established route must be covered by the traveler. Important: Rates apply for a minimum of 4 participants. For bookings with fewer than 4 people, an additional charge per person will apply.
