Experience the land and waters of Sarapiqui with this amazing combo that includes a 2 hour rafting trip on the Sarapiqui River and 2 hours of horseback riding through the most beautiful areas of Sarapiqui. This is a combo the whole family can enjoy – take advantage of a full day in beautiful Sarapiqui!
First, we start the tour with whitewater rafting on the Sarapiqui River, Class II & III.
If you’re new to whitewater rafting or seeking something with moderate thrill, this section of river is perfect for you. Paddle down exciting rapids such as “El Cano,” “Confusion,” “Superman,” and “Air Force.” Plus, jump out of the raft and swim in the natural pools below the rapids.
Our expert guides will provide you with safety information and help you improve your paddling skills. Along the way, the guides will point out all the different flora and fauna around you.
Then, we’ll dry off for a scenic tour by horseback of Sarapiqui.
This tour lasts approximately two hours in the mountains of Sarapiqui, touring the Proteros and beautiful landscapes. We will cross the Bijagual river horseback riding. Plus, you will have the opportunity to swim in the natural pools of this river.
Meet at the Sarapiqui Outdoor Center at 8:30 AM for the rafting tour. Then, at noon, we will enjoy a riverside lunch. In the afternoon, we will transport your group to the start of the horseback riding tour. The total duration of this combo tour is approximately 8 hours. A minimum of 2 people is required to operate this combo tour.
We recommend bringing:
- Closed-toe shoes or boots
- Bathing suit and/or shorts for Rafting Tour
- Dry change of clothes
- Long pants for the Horseback Riding Tour
- Sun screen
- Insect repellent
- Poncho or umbrella
